I was just out there at the beginning of the month and I thought it was just a great place that I should go back to take pictures. I didn't get back yet but your pics have inspired me. Thanks.

Thanks Carl,
I probably have hundreds! Will upload more as I get the chance. Some images I've clearly enhanced, which helps the artwork be more clearly visible. It looks like they are making some new advances in uncovering more about what the images and their locations mean. Exciting!
I was at the V-V with my family today also. The archeologist's name is Ken Zoll, and he'll be doing a book signing at the Red Rock Ranger station soon. The link follows. A park ranger told my daughter that there were 188 people at the site yesterday, and they expected 130 today (though it appeared half that number were actually there). Interestingly, Zoll commented that the shaft of light didn't make it all the way to the solar disk image yesterday, and won't tomorrow. Today on the spring equinox it was perfectly aligned so that the large sun symbol was highlighted. To the immediate right, the edge of light and shadow touched the edge of a smaller sun symbol just at the moment of the solar equinox. You can see that in hey's photo. When I went to the forest service's web site a few minutes ago, I saw that next Saturday, March 28th, they'll be having what was called a "Rendezvouz" in Wisconsin--similar to a reenactment. You will be able to take a turn at using atl-atl to throw a lance, use a handmade bow and arrow, try acorn stew and berry juice, watch a spear point chipped from flint, etc., etc. The hours are 9:30 to 3. We'll be going back. At the forest service's site, scroll down and click on the link to the V-V Archeology Discovery Days for specific information.

Just got back from the V-Bar-V and took a bunch a pix. Starting to write an article about it for Sedona.biz. Will link to petroglyph.org in the article. Mark, thanks.
